I-75 re-opens at I-595 following fatal accident

The eastbound lanes of I-75 are open again where the highway meets I-595 in Sunrise. Several lanes were closed early Thursday morning after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Chad Lee Dixon was traveling eastbound on his motorcycle on the ramp from I-75 to I-595.
Dixon struck the back of a Nissan Maxima driven by 29-year-old Susan Erin Billie and was ejected onto the roadway.
He died at the scene.
Investigators say Dixon was not wearing a helmet.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
