I-75 reopened after serious accident

Accident involving 1 person closed I-75 southbound at Miramar Parkway

MIRAMAR, Fla. -

The I-75 at Miramar Parkway has been reopened after being shut down as a result of a serious car accident during rush hour traffic Friday afternoon.

Police said the accident involved one vehicle, which had rolled over with one person inside. The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident may be have occurred because of a blown tire.

Air Rescue transported the driver to Memorial Regional Hospital, according to FHP. The driver's condition is unknown at this time.
