Inmate dies at Tampa Bay-area jail

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old inmate died of natural causes

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say an inmate has died of natural causes at a Tampa Bay-area jail.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says deputies making routine welfare checks discovered 52-year-old Daniel Fajardo early Thursday. The deputies performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Fajardo was pronounced dead at a hospital. The sheriff's office says detectives are conducting a routine death investigation, though it appears that Fajardo died of natural causes.
