Isaac leaves flooding across South Florida
A day after Tropical Storm Isaac passed South Florida, many cities remained flooded.
In Broward County, cities like Coral Springs, Tamarac, Sunrise, and Lauderhill were underwater on Monday.
"It started coming through here, through the actual door," said Mike Young.
Young's house in Lauderhill was soaked from the floodwaters.
"I've been here twelve years and nothing like this," he said.
Lauderhill police officers gave away sandbags at the Lauderhill Sports Park to residents dealing with flooding.
In Tamarac, water pumps were working overtime to get rid of the excess water.
Miami-Dade faired a bit better, but in Doral, flooded roadways overran the warehouse district.
"They opened up the big back pumps to start pumping water in the reservoir area to see if we could lower the canal limits, but obviously it's not fast enough and we still have areas that are very, very high, too high," said Miami-Dade Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz.
