MIAMI -

A judge denied a woman bond a day after police say she kidnapped a child.

Kimberly Lopez, 21, was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, luring or enticing a child and interfering with child custody.

Police say she abducted 5-year-old Jayda Velazquez from her uncle's apartment in North Miami early Sunday morning.

"I don't know who this girl is, but she disappeared with my baby at some point and when I got home, my daughter was not here," said Wendy Montilla.

Investigators said Lopez was visiting the girl's San Souci Boulevard apartment on Saturday night with other people who were friends of the child's uncle. Lopez was photographed with the child in the moments leading up to the kidnapping, said police.

"She was trying to take the baby to the kitchen. You know, trying to separate herself with the child throughout the night," said one man, who was also at the apartment.

The family says Lopez had recently lost custody of her daughter and that Velazquez resembled the girl.

"A lot of people lose their kids and they have the chance to see them again and I'm just very blessed," said Montilla.
