Jungle Island hosts 50 veterans for Wounded Warrior project in Miami
Jungle Island is hosting about 50 wounded veterans for a Wounded Warrior Project in Miami.
The group will arrive at the attraction on Wednesday for a ceremony and celebration to kick-off their annual Soldier Ride, a long-distance bicycle ride stretching from South Beach to Key West. The group will also be given a guided tour of the attraction and the veterans will be able to interact with animals such as kangaroos, capuchin monkeys, tiger cubs and more. The bike ride takes place Thursday morning.
Based on its website, The Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life.
