Justin Bieber making movie while in South Florida

Pop star confirms via twitter that he is filming footage for a new movie

MIAMI – Pop star Justin Bieber is doing more than make crowds scream during his visit to South Florida this weekend-- he's also filming footage for a new movie.

The 18-year-old is in Miami to perform at two sold-out concerts at the American Airlines Arena. After he took the stage Saturday night, he tweeted to his fans that he is shooting a new movie.

"Yeah word is out... We are shooting a movie here in Miami," the tweet read. "Need u all live tomorrow again!! #BELIEVEtour #BELIEVE."

Bieber posted the tweet several hours after his manager Scooter Braun tweeted that he had a big surprise in store for concert-goers. Braun then tweeted a photo of himself and movie director, Jon M. Chu with the caption "in Miami making a movie with @jonmchu and @justinbieber. #believe."

Chu also directed Bieber's 2011 movie, "Never Say Never."

Bieber retweeted messages about the movie filming on Sunday, encouraging fans to bring their energy to the American Airlines Arena for Sunday night's performance.
