The man accused of shooting a U-Save Convenience Store clerk made his first appearance in court on Thursday morning.
A judge gave Gevaenydo McKenzie no bond on a first-degree attempted murder charge. McKenzie turned himself in to police late Wednesday.
Police said a clerk at the U-Save Convenience Store in Lauderhill got into a fight with McKenzie on July 31. McKenzie then came back with a gun and shot Ramzi Foqahaa several times.
Foqahaa, 21, was listed in serious condition at Broward General Medical Center. Foqahaa's family said he will likely be paralyzed.
