Lindsay Lohan arrested on assault charge in NYC
Woman who was punched is from West Palm Beach
Lindsay Lohan has left a New York City police precinct after being charged for allegedly striking a woman at a nightclub.
The actress left the station house shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday. She wore a black jacket over her head that went down to her knees. She was wearing leggings, a mini skirt and high-heels, and drove off in a black SUV with a driver and another man.
Police say Lohan was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with third-degree assault.
They say she got into the argument with Tiffany Eve Mitchell, 28, at Club Avenue in Manhattan and struck Mitchell in the face with her hand.
Mitchell is reportedly from West Palm Beach.
Lohan's publicist didn't immediately return a call for comment.
Lohan has had frequent brushes with law.
