Luxury waterfront condo development previewed
At Marina Palms, price of residences will start around $600K
From high-end appliances to pristine décor, the luxury interiors of the soon-to-be-built Marina Palms in North Miami Beach are just part of the draw.
The Marina Palms Yacht Club and Residences will be the first condo/marina development built in Miami-Dade County in decades.
"It's the largest waterfront property in Dade County, and it's a miracle it hasn't been developed before," said developer Neil Fairman.
North Miami Beach mayor George Vallejo said he was grateful for the project.
"This is really the spark that I see is lighting a fire of redevelopment all up and down Biscayne Boulevard and our West Dixie highway corridor here," said Vallejo.
At Thursday’s grand opening for the development, well-heeled, wine-swirling guests said they were interested in buying. Designer Steven G., who designed the interiors for each of the units, already purchased two for himself.
"I said, 'Why not?' So, I bought two units and an 80-foot boat slip," said Steven G.
The condominium boom in South Florida seems to be back.
"We found that Europeans and South Americans and locals want to move up, so to speak, meaning -- get new residences in new buildings with new amenities," said Marina Palms sales director Michael Internoscia.
At Marina Palms, residences start in the low $600,000s. Amenities include a café, a children's playroom, an infinity pool, valet and butler service.
"We're 50 percent sold in our first building," said Fairman. "We have 120 reservations with deposits. So not bad at all."
