MPA helps drivers avoid parking tickets
Miami Parking Authority program 'Holiday Parking Courtesy Citation' runs December 17 through January 2
The Miami Parking Authority is helping drivers avoid a parking ticket during the holidays.
The program, called "Holiday Parking Courtesy Citation," applies to all on-street parking spaces managed by MPA. Parkers whose meters have expired will be issued a special Holiday Courtesy Citation explaining that they have been granted up to one free hour of parking beyond their expiration time, thus avoiding a parking ticket.
It runs from Dec. 17th through Jan. 2nd.
Parkers must have purchased parking at a single-space meter, a Pay & Display master meter, or via Pay by Phone in order to be eligible for the courtesy time extension.
