LOWER MATECUMBE KEY, Fla. -

People in one Florida Keys neighborhood got quite a surprise on Tuesday.

They found this large crocodile laying her eggs right there by the sidewalk.

A resident at 321 Tollgate Shores Drive in Lower Matecumbe Key called about 8 a.m. and said it appeared the 9-foot long crocodile was nesting. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers responded to U.S. 1 near mile marker 74 and trapped the reptile.
