Man charged with fondling elderly woman

Police in Miami arrested a man who, they say, fondled an elderly woman after he broke into her home.

Miguel Chavez was arrested on Tuesday.

According to investigators, it happened in the 1200 block of Southwest 23rd Street on September 25.

Police said Chavez broke into the woman's home, climbed on top of her, and began to choke her. He then fondled the victim before running away.

Chavez was charged with sexual battery with a deadly weapon, burglary with battery, and battery on a person 65 years or older. He was being held on no bond.
