The driver of a pickup truck who was killed when his vehicle rolled down an embankment and into a canal in Plantation was identified on Tuesday.

Police identified the driver as Neville Magnus, 72.

The crash happened in the 6900 block of Southwest 13th Street about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses told police they saw the car driving very slowly through a yard and into the canal.

Plantation traffic homicide detectives are investigating the cause of the crash.
