Police are hunting for two robbers who shot a man at a South Florida motel.
Boynton Beach Police said the robbers ambushed their victim early Tuesday morning at the Seven J’s Motel on Northeast 8th Avenue.
Police said Neil Rogers, 45, and a co-worker were staying at the motel when they heard a knock on the door. Rogers opened the door and two men shoved their way inside. One of the robbers pistol-whipped Rogers and then shot him.
Doctors said Rogers is in critical condition at Delray Trauma Center.
Rogers is from Trinity, Florida. He is a pipe fitter and the owner of Florida Sewer & Storm Inc. Rogers has been staying at the motel for several weeks while working on a project in the area.
The other man in the room was not hurt.
