A South Florida man was shot Friday afternoon after police say he tried to buy a car from someone claiming to sell a vehicle via the Internet.
"There was blood all over the ground and he had blood all over his clothes," said one witness did not want to be identified.
He told Local 10 he was trying to fill up at a shell station near 183rd Street and North Miami Avenue when a man covered in blood pulled up.
"He said that he'd been robbed," the witness told Local 10's Sasha Andrade. "He was trying to do some sort of a deal involving a car. I don't know if he was buying or selling one."
Police believe the shooting most likely started as a business deal on the Internet.
The victim was trying to buy a car. He and a friend met up with two people who claimed to be selling a vehicle, instead they pulled out a gun.
"They tried to rob him and then afterwards they shot him," said the witness.
The men shot one victim in the arm twice. Three more bullets hit his car before the wounded man drove off.
"I was told it happened down the street and he drove himself over here," said the good Samaritan who quickly called for help.
Rescue crews rushed the victim to the hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery,
"He looked like he was in trouble so I had to do what I had to do," the good Samaritan said.
