Singer Marc Anthony lent his support to President Barack Obama's campaign as it opened a new office in Little Havana on Thursday afternoon.

Anthony greeted dozens of supporters at the campaign's new office at 2141 Southwest 1st Street.

"This election is probably the most important," said Anthony. "As Latinos, we have the opportunity to make the biggest difference in this election."

The office will serve as a base for Obama's campaign in Florida.

But there were plenty of Mitt Romney supporters on hand at the grand opening, too.

Romney supporters told Local 10's Christina Vazquez that economic policy, not immigration policy, is what impacts Hispanics the most.

"Jobs, prosperity. That's what all Americans want," said one Romney supporter.

"I don't think President Barack Obama has the knowledge base to get this country moving," said another.

On Thursday, Obama stumped in Orlando, where he was scheduled to be the day of the Colorado theater shooting but then canceled the trip.
