March is "Bike305 Month" in Miami-Dade County.

Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa is expected to make the announcement Tuesday during the Board of County Commissioners meeting in Miami.

The goal will be to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among residents — and to take advantage of the many bike pathways, parks and other trails in the cities of Coral Gables, Cutler Bay, Key Biscayne, Miami, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest and more.

A county statement says the resolution proclaiming "Bike305 Month" follows the Master Plan of the Miami-Dade Park, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
