Miami-Dade County Events:

On Saturday, May 26, the Bluegrass Festival will get underway at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport. The event is hosted by Wings Over Miami Air Museum. Guests will enjoy music all day long. Admission for adults is $10. Kids ages 5-12 pay $5.

On Monday, a Memorial Day Remembrance ceremony hosted by veterans of foreign wars will take place at Woodland Park Cemetery. Flags will be placed on veterans and military graves.

Also on Monday, a Memorial Day Wreath Laying ceremony will be held at the War Memorial Cenotaph in front of the Miami Beach Police Headquarters. Speakers include Miami Beach City commissioners.

Broward County Events:

Riverwalk Ceremony  at 11 a.m. Sunday at Sandy Ninninger Statue on the Riverwalk behind the Performing Arts Center, 201 SW Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Activities include placing of brick in Wall of Honor and speech by Mayor Jack Seiler. Call 954-326-0800.

Parade and Ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday parade begins at corner of Southeast 23rd Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard and ends in service at Pompano Beach Cemetery, 400 SE 23rd Ave. Activities include prayer service, rifle salute and youth groups. Call 954-873-6462.

Palm Beach County Events:

On Monday, an annual ceremony honoring veterans past and present from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be held at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Blvd. Activities include guest speakers, wreath-laying ceremony, color guard presentation and Boy Scout Troop from Wellington. Call 561-585- 6444.

Also on Monday, a ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. at Veterans Park, 1036 Royal Palm Beach Blvd., Royal Palm Beach. Refreshments prepared by Wild Orchids Café and served by our Young At Heart Volunteers will be available following the 21 gun salute. Call 561-790-5149.
