MIAMI -

Training camp opened for the Miami Heat on Saturday morning at the American Airlines Arena.

On paper, at least, the NBA Champions are in a position to be even better than they were last year. The team is joined by Rashard Lewis, and former Celtics star Ray Allen.

"we have a very mature veteran group and they understand legacy," said Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra. "Last year was a different motivation; it came from the pain of losing the year before. This year is a new journey."

Part of that journey, according to Coach Spoelstra, includes playing position-less basketball. Every player must learn to excel in multiple roles.

Even though we watched each other for many years we gotta play with each other," said Heat Guard Dwyane Wade.
