LOS ANGELES -

A high speed chase through the Los Angeles freeway system ended with the driver crashing into a family from South Florida.

"I just remember swerving away from a car that was coming at me and then I just rolled over," said Bryant Valencia from Miami. "And when everything stopped I remember looking at my son hanging from his car seat upside down and my wife screaming hysterically."

Valencia's three-year-old son was one of five people, including the driver,  who were rushed to the hospital after the crash. None of them were seriously injured.

The chase began in Burbank when police tried to stop a 29-year old man for reckless driving. He then took off, hitting speeds of 125 mph.

Four freeways later, he crashed into the Valencia family who were on their way to Hollywood for a night of sight-seeing.

"This is the stuff you see on TV," said Valencia. "You never think its going to happen to you."
