MIAMI -

Miami police were investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash that left one person dead and two others hospitalized.

Police said a motorcycle carrying two people collided with a Volvo at the intersection of Southwest 11th Street and 37th Avenue in Miami on Sunday evening.

Both people on the motorcycle went airborne, and one was sent into another car's windshield.

One of the motorcyclists died on the scene. The other motorcyclist and the driver of the Volvo were transported. Their conditions were not immediately released.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation, but police said the driver of the Volvo may have been making a illegal left hand turn in front of the motorcycle.
