Heat forward Mike Miller's oceanfront Hillsboro Inlet mansion goes up for auction on Saturday morning.
There is no minimum set for the 9,000-square-foot home. It will sell for auction price, no matter how low.
When asked whether the lack of a minimum makes him nervous, Miller said, "Yes, a little bit, but I have always been aggressive. That's how I play basketball. That's the way I do business."
The six-bedroom, 7 1/2-bathroom house once sold for $12 million, but Miller said he got a good deal on it two years ago. He bought it in foreclosure and did a lot of the work himself. He put in a bar with a couple of beers on tap, a shuffleboard table, a billiard table and a home theater. There are several built-in aquariums, a pool bar that can be seen through the family room floor, a private wine cellar, a cigar room and a private elevator.
But, the ocean view and large dock space are probably the home's finest features.
"You are right here on your own beach, so the kids can go out there and enjoy it," Miller said. "But, at the same time, it is big enough so the parents can get away from their kids."
