Missing child alert canceled

SARASOTA, Fla. -

Sarasota police canceled a missing child alert Sunday afternoon, just hours after they had reported a 14-year-old boy missing.

Jacob Wade, 14, was last seen in the 300 block of East Cornelius Circle in Sarasota.

Police said he wore a long-sleeved white T-shirt and blue knee-length shorts.

Sarasota Police announced shortly before 6 p.m. that the missing child alert had been canceled.
