Missing infant found in Pompano Beach

Fort Lauderdale police say Tyrese Prehay was with family friend

Officers received a call from a family member who said that Tyrese Prehay (pictured, left) and his 28-year-old mother, Jamicia Renee Chandler (pictured, right), have not been seen in over two weeks, said police.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police say a missing infant who hadn't been seen in over two weeks has been found.

According to Fort Lauderdale police, officers received a call from a family member who said that Tyrese Prehay and his 28-year-old mother, Jamicia Renee Chandler, had not been seen in over two weeks.

Authorities said Prehay and Chandler were last seen at their home on NW 3rd Street in Fort Lauderdale.

Monday evening, Fort Lauderdale Police Department detectives said they were contacted by Chandler, who told them where her son was.

Police said Prehay was found at 940 NW 9th Avenue in Pompano Beach and was being properly cared for by a family friend.
