Missing woman's home searched again
Security company employee took box, wires from home
Detectives were back inside the Miramar home of Vilet Torrez, the mother of three who has been missing for more than two months.
After obtaining a second search warrant Thursday, police and crime scene investigators worked behind closed doors but walked out with employees from Devcon Security, a company that installs alarm systems for residences and businesses.
A Devcon employee clutched a box and wires but would not confirm if it was part of a home security system.
Earlier in the week, police released the last known video of Torrez, seen driving her van back into her gated community several hours after having dinner with a co-worker March 30th. The video was taken at 5:16 a.m. Saturday, March 31st.
Nearly two days later, her estranged husband, Cid Torrez, called 911 to report her missing.
Cid had been at the Miramar home with the couple's children. In the 911 call, he claimed he never heard from nor saw Torrez.
However, phone records obtained by Local 10 show she called her husband twice at 5:19 a.m.
Cid Torrez has been named a person of interest in his wife's disappearance but police have not said why. He has not been charged with any crime.
The search continues for Vilet Torrez.
