A motorcyclist was killed after he was ejected from his bike in an accident with multiple cars, according to authorities.
Police said it happened around 4 p.m. Saturday in a westbound lane in the 4800 block of Griffin Road.
According to police, the motorcycle attempted to pass the truck to the left. The truck was turning left when the motorcycle crashed into the driver's side of the truck, police said. That's when the driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike. The man was airlifted to Memorial Regional hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The crash blocked traffic between the Turnpike and 4-41 on Griffin Road.
Images captured at the scene earlier Saturday showed the motorcycle lying in the street.
Authorities have not yet said whether charges will be filed.
