Motorcyclist killed in early-morning crash in Tamiami
Traffic being diverted near Bird Road, SW 137th Avenue
A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning after a crash on the corner of Bird Road and SW 137th Avenue in Tamiami about 5:15 a.m.
Another driver told Local 10's Ben Kennedy that he was waiting at a red light when the biker rear-ended him. He says the impact threw the man into the road.
Police said the motorcycle caught fire. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
Traffic is being diverted there as crews investigate the crash.
