NIU's football team leaves for Florida to prep for Orange Bowl
DEKALB, Ill. (AP) — Northern Illinois' football team is moving its Orange Bowl preparations to Florida.
WNIJ Radio reports that the Huskies left Wednesday morning on a flight from Rockford to Miami.
The Huskies are getting ready to play Florida State in the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day. It's the first time a team from the Mid-American Conference will appear in a BCS game.
