Macy's is hiring for the holidays!

The department store giant announced on Monday that it is adding 80,000 seasonal workers this year.

That's up 2.5 percent from last year.

Macy's said it needs the extra workers to man the sales floors and call centers.

There are several Macy's stores in South Florida, including at the Aventura Mall, Pembroke Lakes Mall,Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs and Town Center Mallin Boca Raton.

There are also stores in downtown Miami and Miami Beach.
