No. 10: Michelle Spence-Jones
Miami Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones was arrested in a bribery scandal and booted off the Commission, but she didn’t give up the fight to clear her name and reclaim her seat.
Love her or hate her, but give her credit for her tenacity. From Day 1, she said she was innocent, that the state attorney was out to get her in a political witch hunt. Few seemed to believe her, but like the Energizer bunny, she kept going and going and going.
Charges were dropped, and Spence-Jones got her Commission seat back.
