MIRAMAR, Fla. -

Police have wrapped up their search of the home owned by Vilet Torrez, who's been missing for 10 days.

On Tuesday, police officers and Torrez's relatives will pass out fliers in the Harbour Lakes townhouse complex with the missing mother's picture in an effort to generate leads in the case.

Torrez was last seen on Friday night, March 30, by a co-worker with whom she went to dinner. Her car was found in her townhouse complex the following day. Torrez left her three children with her estranged husband for the weekend. He reported her missing on Monday, a day after she didn't return to take care of their children as planned.

Local 10 also learned that detectives have taken DNA samples from Torrez's children and her parents.  And on Monday evening, Torrez's brother will discuss the case on one of the national cable news talk shows. One of Torrez's close friends said her family is desperate to keep this case from going cold.

"You know, we're hoping that her name gets out there. Maybe somebody saw something. Maybe somebody heard something," said Clarissa Garcia, a close friend of Torrez. "Because a lot of time has now elapsed since we last heard from my friend, and we want it to continue to remain out there, you know, to give us hope that she may be still around. Someone just doesn't randomly disappear. You don't just disappear. There has to be something."

Anyone with information on what happened to Vilet Torrez is asked to call Miramar Police at 954-602-4000.
