MIAMI -

A police officer crashed his cruiser into a Miami BP gas station convenience store around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.

According to authorities, the officer somehow lost control of his car while driving near SW 8th Street and 74th Avenue.

A manager told Local 10 that a cashier was inside the store at the time of the crash, but was not hurt.
