Olympic gold medalists and UF men's swim team undergo military training
Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer join their alma mater men's swim team for pararescue training
Olympic gold medalists Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer joined their University of Florida men's swim team for an especially grueling practice.
Airmen at Patrick Air Force Base led the team through a series of strenuous drills as part of a pararescue indoctrination course Friday. The elite Guardian Angels led the swimmers in buddy carries, flutter kicks and sprints with kettle balls.
Lochte and Dwyer both attended UF.
Florida Today reports UF assistant swim coach Anthony Nesty said he wanted his team to get a feel for what the pararescuemen do because they are the best in their field.
