Paramedic accused of child abuse

Victor James Jadoo charged with 2 counts of aggravated child abuse, 1 count of child neglect

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A licensed paramedic was charged with aggravated child abuse after his 4-month-old infant showed signs of an abusive head injury, say police.

Victor James Jadoo, of Fort Lauderdale, turned himself into the Coral Springs Police Department on Wednesday. He is charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of child neglect.

According to police, Coral Springs Fire Rescue responded to a home on July 23, 2012, in reference to an injured 4-month-old infant. The infant was taken to Northwest Regional Hospital with seizures, and then airlifted to Broward General Medical Center.

Police determined the infant suffered its injuries from violent shaking.

Jadoo, 35, has since bonded out of jail.
