A family was displaced Wednesday night after a house fire in Pembroke Pines.
Fire officials said the blaze started at about 8 p.m. at 7611 NW 11 St. Firefighters said the fire started in the kitchen, but was quickly extinguished.
No people were inside the home during the fire. Rescue workers found a pet rabbit in a cage in one of the bedrooms and were able to safely remove it from the house.
Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire, but think it was accidental.
Two adults and two teenagers were displaced because of the fire, but were not injured. The Red Cross is providing them with assistance.
