FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -

Police say a child was hit by a car Friday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale.

The incident occurred at 16th Street and NW 15th Avenue.

According to witnesses, the girl ran into traffic and was hit by a car. She has been transported to Broward Health.
