Police: Husband kills wife in front of children
Police are searching for a man who they said pistol-whipped and fatally shot his girlfriend in front of their children.
Miami police said police officers responded to reports of gunshots near 1232 NW First Place at 12:30 a.m. Monday and found Shanquendra Williams, 25, shot, lying in a pool of blood. Police said she died at the scene.

According to investigators, Williams and her boyfriend, Bertram Clark, 42, had gotten into an argument, and Williams called police. Clark returned to confront Williams and “expressed his dissatisfaction with her calling the police,” Miami police said.
"They had just begun to get back on the right track and be happy," said a friend who did not want to be identified.
While their children watched, Clark pistol-whipped Williams and shot her multiple times, then escaped, according to police.
"I still don't understand why did he do something like that in front of her kids," the friend said.
Clark, who is also known as "Nobie," is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 220 pounds. He has short, black hair and a goatee.
"He's armed. We consider him very dangerous, and at this time, we don't know what he may be capable of doing," said Detective Keandra Simmons, of the Miami Police Department.
Clark has been arrested in the past on charges of cocaine possession and battery. He was convicted of third-degree murder in 1994.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective L. Ramirez of the Miami Police Department Homicide Unit at 305-603-6350.
