A police officer has been suspended with pay, the Miami Police Department announced Wednesday.
An 8-year veteran, William Gonzalez, 28, was suspended on Tuesday and is now at home pending the outcome of an internal investigation, police said.
No other details were immediately released. Authorities said they are not at liberty to discuss the suspension further.
