MIRAMAR, Fla. – Police say the driver of a tractor trailer has been killed after the vehicle rolled over and caught fire in Miramar.
Authorities said the incident occurred Saturday afternoon on the Turnpike extension ramp as the tractor trailer was heading northbound.
Police said the truck was carrying tomatoes at the time. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Part of the Turnpike northbound was shut down due to the accident. The ramp reopened later Saturday evening.
