Police arrest North Miami Beach burglary suspects

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -

Two men accused of breaking into a home in North Miami Beach were arrested Tuesday.  

Officers were responding to a burglary alarm at a home on Northeast 174 Street when they noticed a suspicious vehicle.  Officers said when they approached the driver, he refused to obey their orders and was taken into custody.  

Officers said they also noticed two men carrying pillow cases jump a nearby fence.  Police said when the suspects saw the officers, they dropped the pillow cases and ran. 

One of the suspects was later arrested by officers in Aventura. The other suspect is still at large.

Sean Dukes, 19, and Willie Butler, 20, are charged with residential burglary.

Police said they found jewelry and other stolen items in the pillow cases, along with more stolen property inside the vehicle. 

Officer believe some of the stolen goods may have been from other burglaries.

Recently, there has been a rash of burglaries in North Miami Beach.
