Police arrest man accused of killing 17-year-old girlfriend in Hialeah

Yoan Raul Dominguez, 21, charged with second degree murder

HIALEAH, Fla. – Police say they arrested a man Sunday morning who allegedly shot and killed his 17-year-old girlfriend Saturday afternoon in Hialeah.

Hialeah police say Yoan Raul Dominguez, 21, shot and killed his 17-year-old girlfriend, Genesis Fonseca.

The incident occurred in the 6300 block of W. 27th Avenue in Hialeah. Police said neither Dominguez nor his girlfriend lived in Hialeah, saying they were at the house visiting the girlfriend's mother who wasn't home at the time.

Authorities said Dominguez fled the scene and was arrested Sunday in Miami by Hialeah detectives.

Dominguez has been charged with second degree murder.
