Miami-Dade police have charged a man with first-degree murder and stalking in the death of a missing woman.

Homicide detectives say 54-year-old Jesus Maqueira has been apprehended in the death of 42-year-old Raquel Maria Calderin.

Calderin was last seen on Sept. 4, 2012, after finishing work. She never made it home. Her body has not been found. She is presumed dead.

Investigators say Calderin had filed for divorce from Maqueira to end their marriage of over 20 years.

Detectives questioned Maqueira on Friday and arrested him after statements he made during the interview.
