Pompano Fishing Pier reopens

Far east octagon section remains closed

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -

Part of the Pompano Fishing Pier reopened Thursday.

The far east octagon section of the pier at 222 North Pompano Beach Boulevard will remain closed until damaged railings are replaced.

The pier was damaged when Hurricane Sandy passed by South Florida.
