The Powerball jackpot has passed $305 million dollars ahead of Wednesday's drawing.

The money has rolled over for several weeks and is getting closer to breaking the jackpot record.

The largest ever was $365 million, back in 2006.

Powerball is played in 42 states. Tickets are $2 each.
