EVERGLADES, Fla. – Two python hunters suffering from heat and exhaustion were rescued by helicopter in the Everglades Thursday, according to authorities.
Broward Sheriff's Office said rescue units responded to a call of two stranded and disoriented python hunters around 4:30 p.m.

Air Rescue began a search of the area and located the men about two miles north of the L-5 Levee and 15 miles west of U. S. 27.
The helicopter landed in the Everglades and brought the hunters to the waiting rescue units, about two miles from where they were picked up, authorities said.
The 22 and 25-year-old victims complained of lightheadedness and weakness and were treated on the scene. They refused transport to the hospital, BSO said.
Firefighters were told the pair are from Tennessee and traveled to Florida to hunt pythons. Due to HIPPA regulations, their names are not available, BSO said. Authorities believe they were staying in their car in the Everglades while hunting.
