Red light safety cameras installed in Davie
Town says cameras will capture images 24-hours daily
The Town of Davie says red light safety cameras have been installed and are now operational at two designated intersections.
The cameras will operate 24-hours a day at eastbound and westbound at Stirling Road and David Road.
Town officials said the cameras will capture images of every vehicle running a red light at these and other intersections throughout Davie.
A 30-day warning period has begun for red light violations that are captured by the cameras at these intersections. According to town officials, during the period, a warning notice will be issued to the vehicle's registered owner and there will be no fine.
Warning signs alerting drivers about the cameras were installed prior to the warning period. At the completion of the warning period, town officials said a notice will be issued, which will result in a fine for those who run a red light.
Town officials say anyone who receives a violation notice can log on to violationinfo.com for additional information regarding their options.
