MIAMI -

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has doubled the reward for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of a mail carrier.

Bruce Parton, 60, was delivering mail to the Monte Carlo Condominiums on Monday when a gunman approached him and shot him twice, according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. He later died at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Investigators said the gunman stole Parton's mail truck and abandoned it a short distance away.

No arrests have been made in the shooting. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has increased the reward to $50,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
