FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that helps find a Fort Walton Beach woman who has been missing for more than a year.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Wednesday the money was by Marie Jane Carlson's family and friends.

The Northwest Florida Daily News reports Carlson was last seen on Oct. 18, 2011, by James Flanders. He is the father of their daughter, who was a newborn. The baby was with a sitter at the time.

The next day, a text message sent from Carlson's phone to several people said she was leaving Fort Walton Beach to do something she always wanted to do.

Her ex-husband reported her missing on Oct. 24, 2011.

Anyone with information should call 888-654-TIPS.
