Police are searching for the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian Monday night and then drove away.

A surveillance camera snapped an image of the car that hit Charlie Kimball at Northwest 20th Street and Seventh Avenue.

Kimball was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital after the crash and was listed in critical condition.

Police said the driver would not have been charged if he or she would have stopped because they believe Kimball was at fault.
